Terri’s Take: Growing up Green
In our house, good stewardship is something we’ve discussed since Amelia (now 8) was old enough to say, “recycle.” We do our best to conserve energy, we compost, we recycle, and we send Amelia to a “green” school called the Academy for Global Citizenship, where being a conscientious citizen is emphasized daily. We’ve heard the arguments against global warming, that recycling is a waste of time because nothing actually gets recycled anyway, and shopping organic is too expensive and not even guaranteed to be healthier.
